What Camera do you use?

Since we are all fish picture porn ho's, what camera do you use?
I currently have a pentex Optio waterproof 7.1mega pixels camera but I hate it, well I dislike it compared to my old Canon Sd900. It takes decent out door pictures so far but the lens fogs up like beachbears pictures and you don't know till you are back home and its too late. I have taken it to Catalina and it takes a beating well and the pictures that weren't fogged up came out great.
Now if you take it out at night or even pictures of low light its a bad camera, it takes up to 5 seconds for the flash to work add in red eye that it needs, and it could be 7 seconds, thats a long time to sit and wait.
I had to buy another canon last week because I like to take picture and the Pentex wasn't cutting it. My last Canon SD900 took a dip into June lake opening week and hasn't worked the same since .
I picked up a SD870IS 8 mega pixels and a SD950IS 12.1 mega pixels to test for the last week and decided that although the SD950IS took bigger pictures, I went with the SD870IS because the quality was the same but it was a much better price for me.
Both cameras use the SD/SDHC card and it fits right into my computer port for easy uploading.
The video function on the cameras work o.k. for a quickie, best in Sun light.
So here I am today with two cameras, one for day/water use, and one for every thing else (canon).

I have two cameras. One camera is for the surf, it has a sliding cover that when removed turns on the camera. Nice big view screen and user friendly because you can get it out of the bag and turn it on easily. They don't sell it anymore though.

I wanted another one for the kayak, something water proof. Got it at RadioShak for $20. I lost the manual in the move so I don't know how to change any settings. It fogs, cover scratched up pretty easily making pix less than stellar, and no viewscreen makes for aiming pretty bad.

Usually I just take 3-4 pix of something aiming at the top and taking pix on the way down. I gotta' get lucky on one of them.

I'm too new for something more expensive. I don't want to spill and lose it, so I'm not spending $$$. Vince took his digi for a dip and he was on a tube

Overall I'm just happy there's pix and reports with pix. 9 out of 10 times I don't read any report without pix

The wife and I have 2 cameras we use. The multi purpose all around camera is a Lumix 6.0 mega pixels. Its very easy to use, has a large view screen. Its drawback is that the zoom is not as powerful as we would like. The other is a Pixtreme 5 mega pixel digital sports camera designed for underwater use. We recieved it as a gift for a trip we took to Cabo a couple years ago. Its got a waterproof case it goes in so you can take it diving and such. Its never been used. LOL.

The one that hits the surf is my Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS. I think it's 10MegaPixels and I've got a 4GB drive.

My other one is a Canon Rebel XT. (8MP, 4GB Compact Flash, 22mm-50mm lens & 70mm-200mm Macro Lens). This one rarely sees water, it's more my Lake Cachuma cam.

I need to start looking into underwater cameras, soundsl like a cool concept. I know they make an underwater housing for my Rebel XT, but it costs a pretty penny.

Pentax Optio W30. I did submerge it in the water over a dozen times though. Fortunately it's waterproof

Man, all this techno-camera mega pixels stuff is nothing but a pain in the membrane to this old skool fishermaniac: I typically use "one-shot" cameras from the "on sale" at 7.99 shoppers coupon. I barely know from one pixel to another--it's all geek to me. But feel free to bypass my questionable camera skills--the only thing that stands between me and my latest fishing conquest is time & opportunity. So bust a move & win any contest involving fishing:

I cut to the chase: Canon Optix videocamera with titanium tripod. Set it and forget it. Will never miss any action, from the fish I catch to the ladies jogging. Its great!
