Fishing Kanasa City Mo
I spent the 4th in Kansas City Missouri and got to fish a private pond. It was stocked about 20 years ago and hasn't been fished since then. I picked up a spro green tree frog at bass pro's and I brought a few .88 spinners that I got from Cabelas and had a blast. Throwing a frog was a fish almost every time, the biggest fish was only 2lbs, but they still pulled hard. I got about 20 bass from 1lbs to 2lbs, on about my 8th bass my line broke and one of the bass got a new spro frog as a lip ring, time to hit bass pro again. These people don't mess around with their fire works, no safe and sane to be found here.

I love this pic Keene. The works look cool. You said the pond hadn't been fished in 20 years or stocked in 20 years? Must of been fun catching all those bass.

good stuff Keene. If only MOBassman, a resident of MO, can catch that many fish from that state this year

Nice report Keenefish!!
That's my old stomping grounds! Were finding a mud hole that hasn't seen human traffic in years is a common thing. To find one that has been kept mowed is sweet. Man, I miss that!
As for the fireworks, Mo. use to sell them 12 months a year. It's most likely still the case. Why someone would want to buy fireworks at anytime is beyond me...

That's a lot of bass! I can only imagine that this is how fishing Lake Barrett would be.

You came out here and didn't let me know you were coming!!!! What's up with that Keene? At the very least, I would have met up with you at Bass Pro Shops, lol!
Glad you had a fun trip! Next time, let me know you're coming and we'll hit up one of the rivers for some smallie action!

Taco that from was $7.99 at bass pro, I will be hitting ours up this week to pick up a new one, those spro frogs land perfect every time because of the way they are balanced.
Mo bass, I looked at how far your city was to where I was staying and wrote it off because I was stuck with family, but I did by a year license so I will be back soon, soon as my chigger bites heal up.
Keene
P.s. that first picture of me with the blue gill is from another lake that was close to the house.
