8 foot-1inch Halibut pulled out of Malibu - WOW!!

8 foot-1inch Halibut pulled out of Malibu - WOW!!
Psyche!

However, it was indeed pulled out of the Atlantic off Norwegian waters . This bad boy weighed in at a whopping 443lbs and measured 8' 1" in length and 6' 4" around the middle.


It took three dudes to land it. Talk about a Personal Best!

i use to live in AK i have seen them almost that big (405). The people in AK usually like to eat the smaller fish less than about 50lbs. The really large ones dont taste bad, they simply dont taste as good. If you dont eat halibut 3-5 days a week like people in south east AK you probobly would never know the difference. Beef sure is pricey up there.
