2 Day Charter questions

Before actually chartering a boat i wanted to have an idea of when you guys would like to go out and how many would be interested. Please vote on the time you would like to go and post something along the line of "I'm interested in going" so I can get some sort of general idea. Thanks!

Oh also, you can vote for more then one period so vote for whenever you are willing to go i guess...

Anytime from AUGUST til fall would be ok depending on schedule issues and price of course. I joined hookup in Sept 06, but hardley ever post, just read whats up, and try to get some idea's on where to fish, and general knowledge. These posts are packed with insight & knowledge which really enjoy. If I can work my schedule, I am interested in a 2day charter

If you want a chance of limiting out on Albacore , the historically best times have been August and September. Exact times vary from year to year. I would tend to favor mid Aug. thru mid Sept. And I would go out of Seaforth or any San Diego based port, or as a second choice Newport. Seaforth is a longer drive but you are closer to the Tuna Grounds. Consequently spending more time catching and less traversing to the tuna grounds. Also the 2 day'ers are the best, its difficult NOT to catch Albacore on thoes trips

My .37 cents worth.

thanks for the info walt! last time we went early july and got into a great YT bite with a couple of Albies to keep things interesting. Maybe this year it will be the other way around. You can never tell though so we will see...

You think you can make it on the trip?
