shimano vrod and cardiff 300a

i got it at my local tackle shop what do u guys think of it and i used it at whittier narrows with one of those big rubber trouts idk the name and i caught a 2# bass on it and i will be using it for the saltwater as well what would you guys use it for ?? what applications i have 12# line on it give me some feedback ill post pics of my new toy tomorrow this combo is sweet i bought them seperately but i said wtf it looks good so i got it and it was highly recommended by a friend of mine

I've owned two cardiffs and they're very nice reels.

The cardiff 300 is a pretty good reel. Don't know anything about the rod though. Only thing that matters is your happy with the set-up!!

thanks guys this thing is awesome but it hasnt landed any pescado just yet i want to get a fat bass on it whos down for whittier narrows??

Since the Shimano Cardiff has been mentioned already I'll ask what do you like about the reel? Strong drag? Reliability against SW????Compare to Abu Ambassadeurs...?
