Anyone know if salmon season is gonna open this year?

There have been lots of "doom and gloom" reports about lack of fish this year due to everything from global warming, lack of upwellings, not enough rain and the always popular reason amongst the "tree lovers" that the fish are all over harvested. What I really want to know is if the season is gonna open this year?

I heard no it wasn't going to open, commercial and recreational.

Could always target tree huggers. Put a 5/0 circle in a soda can, let it roll down the street. They'll come to recycle it. Don't hookset right away, they'll hook themselves. Best soda cans are anything organic or preservative free.

Word is in a couple of news papers is that most likely salmon season will be skipped this year. I suppose missing one season isn't going to hurt if it can bring the fish count back up to standards for next year.
