9/16 Report with Pictures

Well sorry this is so late but here it is...

After school on Friday I strapped my rod to my bike, it was in a rod tube starpped with bungies on the side of it. Took me about 20 minutes to get down to the river. I forgot my lock so I had to carry my bike everywhere I went through the bushes and over logs...etc... I went for a little exploring and found some very good holes that may be good ones next year also. I tried to keep moving around and to find those 20" bows but couldnt find them that day. I did catch a couple dollies on an 8mm dirty roe troutbead. Very pretty fish, about 6".

I had about 30 min to fish left so I went quickly to try and find some good fishing. I came upon a hole full of Silvers. I was hoping to find some bows but there wasnt any, just a small dolly. When I was getting ready to leave I cast out the same bead I had been fishing with...Right after it hit the surface a Silver shot up and snatched that bead. I was really suprised! I had 5lb line on and I was really hoping he wouldnt get off. Most of the Silvers I had been hooking on that light line had broken off. I played the fish safe and got him in. Here is a picture:

I am going to keep going every Friday and hopefully more in between. The snow will be here soon and its getting colder and colder every day!

Thanks guys, most of the fish in the rivers now are pretty red. Atleast where I have been fishing. Still a nice fish!

Oh sure rub it in! "look at the great fishing we have up here you pitifull Californians" BAH! what will you be fishing for in Janurary "Alaska boy"? We may only have farm raised fish to chase but we can chase them all winter long... SO THERE! (yes I am jealous and bitter, so what?)

lol CST your telling him how to ice fish and he is the one that lives in ALASKA! An Auger is used to drill the hole in the ice that you fish through lol
