Dodo, this is given that the Newport Trip doesn't come through. *wink*wink* (crossing fingers) - hehe, got Striper Fever!

Oh boy was it hard to convince you! You practically begged me and offered to cover my Gas & boat fees.

Funny cuz I had already greased & oiled my Big reels and thought I'd taint them again on Saturday. Guess they shall remain put away till Spring.

Now to prep my Striper Gear!

Can I bring my irons??

I'm in!!

I have to bring my irons, or at least part of them
since they don't fit in my other tackle boxes anymore..
and the freshwater box has some room
unless I get me a new tackle box, I saw a sponge bob model
at wallmart that was cool looking
Il'll bring some big a__ rods to cast the plastics to the other side
of the lake and into the aqueduct..

no red hooks ok?

Alright, Taco's in! We need one more to get a fair price on the pontoon guys. Who's brave enough to freeze their cojones in the name of the elusive striper?

Listen, it's Winter, which means it's verrrrry cold and thus making it that much more likely for you to get "sick." God created sick days for situations exactly like these. You didn't really think they were for when you're actually sick, silly. Use 'em!

Hope we can make a 4th Angler. So you guys know, with 4 anglers the cost per person is around $35 if my brain is working correctly. That would get us on a pontoon for about 6 hours. In the water at 7am and out by 1pm. Did I mention this is on a PONTOON boat? Pontoons...oh man can you fish comfortably with 4 anglers!

C'mon guys, let's go!

Woohoo! Now to see if they'll rig the FF on the pontoon...

I'm calling them in a few.

OK fellas, Silverwood Marina will be open tomorrow and they haven't booked all their pontoons so we should have one guaranteed.

They've never hooked up a Fish Finder to a pontoon though. They said they'll have one of their deckhands check it out today and see if they can jimmy it on one for tomorrow.

Dodo, do you think 5 Anglers is too many? My buddy may want to join us. Lemme know. Funny, now we have TOO many people...

Great! Drift is good with me. Personally, I think the inlet is over rated. I think all the younglings like the feel of the current and hang out there. The big guys know better and hang in other spots. Our job is finding them.

My buddy's confirmed so we got 5 people gentlemen!

By the way, DRESS WARM!

cool, i did notice the larger classes are feeding farther out / away from the inlet.

we meterd the big ones at 100 to 120 ft. the fish is going in to sluggish mode, so drifting slow as possible is needed.

man we are going to hump that $hit .lol
