Treats from Alaska

Since I still have a lot of fish left over from Alaska, it's time to start cooking it since the oven is fixed at home!

So tonight is Apple Spced Halibut with wilrd rice and mushrooms!

It's my first time trying this way but here is the recipe for anyone who wants to try it. I'll have some pictures of it up tonight.

Apple Spiced Halibut Recipe

Recipe Ingredients:

8-12 oz. Halibut Fillets
1 Green Onion, diced
1/4 cup Apple Jelly
1 tbsp. Lemon Juice
1/2 tsp. Allspice
3 tbsp. Almonds, Sliced/slivers
2 tbsp. Butter

Recipe Preparation:

Cut halibut into serving size portions. Heat apple jelly in a small saucepan, add lemon juice and allspice; stir. Brush glaze over halibut pieces and place in a lightly greased baking dish. Pour any remaining glaze over top of fillets. Add butter to dish. Sprinkle green onion and almonds over fillets. Cover and bake in a preheated 325 degree oven (10 minutes for every 1 inch of thickness). Periodically spoon glaze over fillets during baking.

Lemme guess, you're allergic to fish. LMAO!!!! Just kidding, that would be evil.

Incredible Huck, I too would like to see what that dish looks like. And if you don't mind, can you call me when dinner's ready? I'm in LA so please consider the drive time. Thanks!

LOl the mini-portion came up as I cooked it a little bit later then I wanted, then I had to run out the door to go open up the church for practice and prayer night, as the pastor had a death in his family to attend to, and the youth pastor, my friend Jenn, had to be at UCR for a paper thingy, so she dropped the keys off with me....
