Saturday or Sunday... - California Fishing

This is an open invite to anyone who wants to join Vince and me this weekend, we will either be hitting Lake Gregory or Big Bear and it will either be on Saturday or Sunday.
We were thinking of float tubing but a boat rental is not out of the question...

boat rentals at gregory go for pretty cheap if you're splitting it with 2. If the bite gets slow we'll make our way out to BBear for tubing.

I am going to have to make this a Sunday trip, got off work WAY to late to do any packing today so I will have to load up tomorrow.

Sounds like this Weekend's got a high wind advisory so I'm guessing Moo Moos are out of the question. Depending on my buddy's schedule, we might join ya. Nothing sure though. I'll call Vince if we plan to join.

Otherwise I may take that long-awaited trip to the Ducts.

I've only got 'till 1PM on Sunday. After that I belong to my wife & kids. ...unless I make it a family trip. Muahahahahaa!! You are the shiz Dodo! We'll have to plan this out nicely.

However, do you think these wind advisories will affect boat rentals at Silverwood? I'm guessing they might close it to boaters if it's white capping out there.

If not, Ducts it is. Leave early in the morning (3/4am) and get back home by 12/1pm.

Now all I need is a Duct fishing spot. Anyone....?

I beleive all socal fishings spots will be hell over the weekend, I'm considering tubing a harbor or the shores of Long beach by 72nd on Sunday.....

I am not set to hit any of the harbors, I have not put together my new pontoon boat yet and dont want to put anything else I have in the salt water.
I may either go hit the upper Santa Ana river where winds dont matter or I could go hit one of my secret carp spots I guess.

As for the So Cal Boats, Redondo Sportfishing landing sounds pretty confident and says they're running their boats with no affect from winds. They claim that they're taking off tomorrow morning as well (1/2 day). You guys think it's safe?

Vince and I are heading up to the Upper Santa Ana river, might hike down to Jenk's as well.
Figure if its windy it wont matter much on a small creek like the Santa Ana.
