i got a chance to go out and try for my first shark, be it guitarfish, leapord, bat ray, or any other random one...
on my way to the end i saw some guy cleaning a guitarfish and i though today would be a good day but the wind was unbearable. I was able to pull up one jack mackeral for bait and had some squid and two mack fillets that i had gotten from Chinese Ranch Market. I threw out the mack fillets on a highlow and tried the jack mack on a dropper loop with an 8 ounce weight (yep, you pretty much needed it...) but the bait flew off of the hook. After an hour or two i decided to call it quits and left for home.
