Kern river???
Anybody planning a trip soon? or anybody interested in going on a short overnighter?

I've been thinking about a labor day weekend trip. I want to hike in a few miles somewhere to beat the crowds. I just have to get work to cooperate and let me have a whole weekend without calling me...

Let's look at going around the 24th and 25th of Sept. that's a Friday and Sat. We could all meet in one specific location (probably in the San Fernando Valley part of L.A.), carpool; leave late friday afternoon and fish all day Saturday in the morning and in the evening and then come home Saturday night late. We can get some really inexpensive hotel rooms and split the cost by sharing rooms. I've got the network of really good hotel/motels and lodges up in the North Lake Isabella, and east and west forks of the Kern River. But who's ever serious should commit to it and don't back out of it. Who's down?, I know Jonathan and Fish Slayer are.....who else!?!?!?! Plus I just got my new DAMON "St. Lawrence" trout rods and I want to really break them in up there.
