Silver Salmon Fishing, 18th-20th

After going for some awesome Grayling fishing around Denali National Park we headed over to Willow Creek and camped for a couple days and did some fishing. We fished for some Pinks in the beginning, but started moving as far as we could move away from them because they kept getting snagged. There was so many of them, it was unbelievable! We caught quite a few Pinks on both fly and bait casting setups with corkies and yarn.

The next day we decided to walk downstream a ways, guess what we found? A great plunking hole and a bunch of Silvers in it. So we tossed on eggs and through them out. My step brother caught a King, then a huge rainbow which I dont have pictures of but I do have video. Then my other step, caught a nice Silver Salmon. Guess it was my turn... I hooked into one and boy was my heart beating. It shot straight into the air and did some acrobatics for us. It was my first Silver and hope for many more! We all caught a Silver(the 5 of us) and one of my step brothers limited out on them. It was a lot of fun! Going to try for some Rainbows there soon!

Yep, but the females do not have humps. You can usually identify them by there white belly.
