Let's Go Fishing on Monday aboard the Icon @ 8:00 AM
Hey fellas,
I'm back from Cachuma Lake and that's a whole other wrap...I'll post report for that trip later. Now on to the more important stuff...the next trip! I'm supposed to return to work on Monday, but I'm thinking NOT!!! That said, f0ki187 & I are planning on taking a trip on the ever-so-praised ICON out of Long Beach Sport Fishing Berth 55. Richard, I know it's a bit late notice but I'm hoping you can join us and show us the ropes around your vessel. Actually, it's an open invite for anyone who had too short a weekend or just feels like playing hooky or just plain friggin' feed your fishing needs. My personal buddy may come along but has not yet confirmed. Who wants to spend Monday working? Not I...and hopefully not YOU. So... Let's go fishing!

It was a fun trip. My first time on the Western Pride out of Davey's Locker. Nice wide boat and the crew was very friendly & helpful. On a monday, it was a light load and most were regulars, quite friendly & experienced.
Loki187 is a very experienced angler at only 18yrs of age. Boy took home limits & took jackpot with his last fish of the day (Bonito). I played around with small calicos & tried to avoid the abundance of mackarels in some spots. I forgot my digi cam so no pix. Sorry! Definitely worth doing it again sometime soon. It was a pleasure fishing with Loki187. Perhaps we can do it again on a skiff at Newport soon. How many of you guys would be willing to get together on a few skiffs in the next couple of weekends?

Thanks Micky yeah we definatly have to do it again soon, I'm going tomorrow (thursday) and friday and might go on the skiff with thomas (crew) on the skiff so just give me a ring and yeah we will go fishing.
