Yes. I would switch out the trebles though to something more saltwater freindly.

The colors might not be the most saltwater friendly, but "Fish have no hands" so they'll have to chomp on it to test it. Bonitta may go for it and maks too. Good luck and tight lines.

Yes, stringer treble hooks are the way too... if it swims right you'll catch something... not sure if you can cast far with it though being only 3/16oz.

I've used that hardbait and have caught legal halibut on it. It is not the best, but it still works at times.

To trick it out, remove the split ring and attach a #2 D-Ring (oval in shape) and replace the trebles to Gamakatsu EWG #6.

Put it behind a splasher for more casting weight, and chuck it on piers for bonito. The hard part will be finding the splasher.

Just remember this--fish aren't rocket scientists. . .contrary to popular belief On any given day, any fish might bite on anything. I've seen sand bass bite on a chunk of galley cheeseburger. . .I have personally caught bluegill on a bare hook. . .and also a 3 lb. calico bass on a bare hook dangling in the water. . .some goofus on a rock fishing trip out of Channel Islands Sportfishing drop-shotted a gaudy rubber frog lure--black, green, and white--and caught a 6 lb. red. In other words, freshwater lure or saltwater lure, it makes no difference. When the fish are "in the mood," they will bite on anything

what company makes the d rings...i have been searching for the longest time for them and the only ones i can find are the bass pro brand...rick clunn series. does spro make them as well, cause if they do i cannot find them...
i have searched bass pro, sporth chalet, young's tackle, fisherman's access, etc...last time i checked sav on tackle, they didnt have it.

I think Janns Netcraft and Stamina Inc carry the oval split rings.
