Anyone Know About The "New Del Mar"?
I'm still trying to plan a charter for my work-crew, and was wondering if anyone knows anything about the "New Del Mar" out of Marina Del Rey Sportfishing. If you have been on this boat or know someone who has and can give me some feedback I'd appreciate it.
Thanks

Its a good boat, lots of room, great capt. Only complaint is the deckies do a crummy job on fish cleaning.
How many people you looking to book, they might be other options for you.

Looking at about 40 people. I was thinking the Gail Force they won't get back to me.
Target species...anything...it'll be a bunch of non-fisherman, so they'll be excited whatever they catch.

I'd suggest calling Redondo sportfishing, and ask about the spitfire. Take them to catalina instead of local stuff in the bay.

Just a thought,
Why don't you organize a surf-fishing / beach party? I know the summer weekends can suck but you can catch some nice fish while the rest of the people can have fun bbq-ing , building sand castle , roasting marshmallows, etc...Best thing is no seasick yakkers. You can catch some nice fish in the surf and probably convert some of the fresh water peeps to salt waters dogs too. Heck I fished tonight at HB state beach by the talbert channel on the incoming tide. Caught 2 good sized shovelnose on the ghost shrimp I pumped earlier. All this in a span of 45 minutes (including the pumping)...Just bring a bunch of cheap rods/reels with 6-8 lbs test along with some GS and squid and you're set to catching a bunch of different fish in the surf. Whatever you do, good luck.
