The Fly Fishers Club of Orange County will be holding a casting clinic at Mason Park in Irvine from 8 to noon. Yes, there will be rods available to use.

We will have several excellent casting instructors and there will be some "fly fishing 101" discussions. There is no charge for the casting clinic.

If you decide to follow up with fly fishing, our club has mentor outings, monthly club meetings with speakers, usually fly fishing guides, other resources to help new fishers get comfortable fly fishing. A club is an excellent source of information regarding fly fishing equipment, as this matter is often very intimidating to a new fly fisher.

There will be lunch, probably hot dogs, etc. Jim Edwards is the chair of the clinic, if you have questions, call him at (714) 337 5899.
