The 800L is a fine rod, but will easily exceed the $100 limit, in custom trim, or off the rack. Depending on what you're spooling your Torium with (20-30#, right?), the Calstar or Seeker 270 or 270H might be the way to go, as they are available at 8 feet, and are better suited to either live bait or Iron than the Grafighter. (IMO)

If I were you, and spooling the Torium with 25#, I'd go with the Calstar 270H. With 20#, the 270.

I'm just sayin'....
