I'm from East LA and I drive up there. C'mon man, what happened to going out of your way and making a drive for good bait? Just kidding, I'm actually in Silverlake (10 minutes West of Downtown LA).

Actually, when I was there some guy stocked up on like 20 sets of ghost shrimp. He said he's driven an hour and a half and does it quite frequently. I personally haven't seen them anywhere else.

If anyone knows of another spot, please share (or PM me ) I don't mind having a closer provider. Wouldn't it be something if Fishing25 had 'em. I'm only about 10 minutes away from there.

Hot diggity dawg! You got it right on the money. Sounds like you frequented that spot quite often as a kid. It's a cool place. I like the jetty and Belmont pier. Those two spots bring great memories.
