I won't use the 900H for a jig stick or for bait (it's recommended use is live bait), and I'm 6 ft. tall and well over 250 lbs. I like long bait rods and I don't own that one, it'll work ya. Just not enough bend in it. If you're going to get one jigstick, make it a 40# setup. Bigger line sinks quicker, it's stronger, and it won't negatively affect the action of your jigs any more than 30#. There's really no downside. I don't think you'll find a better 40# jigstick than the 90J (Calstar or Seeker Fiberglass), but if you are sure you want a Graphiter jig stick, I'd try the 850H for 40#, or the 900M for 30#. I understand that some folks really love that GUSA 85MonsterMag for a jigstick, too. Check 'em out and see what you like. You might even find that you like 8 footers better, lots of guys do.
The Graphiter 765's are all 6 1/2ft. the XL is rated 40#-50#
