Well, when they are smaller they do kind of resemble a big brown trout, just more rosey/redish in color. As they get older and much bigger(they can live up to 25-30 years), their body fills out more and they get a alot more silver in color and kinda scaley like an Arrowana, common sizes are 20-35 lbs. My big one was in the 40-45 lb range, but I saw a lady land one over 60lbs. on fly rod. It's weird, juviniles and adults resemblance is like "night and day".
